Attitude of Gratitude
Day 7 – A Time of Day
Journaling reads: There
was dense fog last night, so this morning there is lots of dew on the ground! I
noticed it on the neighbor’s yard when I went out to get a “sunrise” picture
(at 7, LOL!) You can see it in the picture in the background. This picture did not do the sunshine justice.
So I moved to the back of the deck. And the sunshine was just beginning to
touch the trees, making their leaves glow (the ones that still have leaves,
that is)!
You can see some dew on the ground back there, too! It
almost looks like frost. But you can’t call it frost when the temperatures are
in the 60’s! I started to go back in the
house when I noticed a lone bloom in my Sweet Williams hanging pot off the side
of the deck. Look at the dew collected
on the petal and leaves! I’m amazed to
see anything still living in this pot! Doesn’t take much warm weather to revive
it! I’m hoping it comes back again next spring, too! I’ve had this pot of Sweet Williams for 2
years now! They must be hardy!
As I finish this writing, today I am thankful for this time
of day and the beauty I see in the sunshine beginning to touch the trees. I am
thankful for the serenity of the dew drops resting on the petals and leaves,
and I am thankful for my morning coffee in my beautiful Pioneer Woman cup! Thank You, Lord, for eyes to behold the
beauty of the morning! 11/7/22
