Happy Passover
Journaling reads: The Jewish community celebrates
Passover at the same time as I celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Passover is the celebration of the Jews being rescued from slavery in
Egypt. Resurrection (Easter) reminds me of the resurrection of flowers
and trees, etc. after winter's grave. And I love seeing the resurrection
of these delicate flowers every year! A celebration of renewed life!
That is what I will celebrate this Easter.....my new life in Jesus
Christ.
God is Sovereign
Journaling reads: God
showed His strength and sovereignty in the plagues on Egypt. He controls the hearts of men for His
purposes and protects His children, even when we are rebellious! That is just proof of His agape love! We can’t do anything to make God love
us. He just does! Thank You, LORD!
True Love
Journaling reads: Mom
and dad celebrated 51 years of marriage the December before he died in Mar.
2003, mom in 2005. Mom had been in a
nursing home for a couple of years after dad could no longer take care of her
with Alzheimer’s disease. He tried to
care for her as long as he could at home.
He spent a lot of his days at the nursing home feeding her and taking
naps with her, just to spend time with her.
I love and miss them both!
