In comparison, no red or black on the head/throat. Also no "yellow" belly. Also, wings are marked differently.
My layout, "Downy Woodpecker" should actually be titled, "Yellow Bellied Sap Sucker." The photo in my layout was taken on 3/28/20. Thanks, Jean, for bringing this to my attention!

In these two photos you see the main differences in the
wings. But the other differences are the
bellies, the sap sucker’s (on the right) looking dirty compared to the downy’s.
