While Jessica and Elisabeth and their families visited us weekend before last, we celebrated a couple of birthdays.....mine, which was on Oct. 8th and Thad's, which will be on Nov. 5th.  When it came time to blow out the candles on the cupcakes, Thad was watching me blow my candle out while Chance was blowing Thad's out!  :D

LOVE this picture Kara's mommy, Jessica took!  And the face paint on Kara is so pretty!  This background paper was the PERFECT fit!  :D  I recolored the flourishes so they could be seen against the background easier.  A preview of the kit is below my layout.

Painted Earth by b.j. designs

Fall Has Begun. I made up this little poem to go with this photo I took today. I tweeked the brown leaves to make them red, yellow and orange.  I also duplicated the photo and then blended it into the bg paper and reduced the opacity to allow the wonderful texture to show through.

I enlarged Thad's photo, layered it on top of the background and blended it into the background using the soft light mode and reduced the opacity to 75%.

Life Upside Down

I had this wonderful photo of Ryan that I wanted to do something with, so I googled "life upside down" and who would know that I would find a poem with the exact title that worked exactly with my page! So, the link led me to a Christian lady on Hub Pages, user name of lambservant, Lori Colbo. She is a grandma and wrote this poem for her grandson. I asked her for permission to use the poem on my page and let her know I would be posting it in different places on the web.
