More Challenges

Apple Trees

I received a Standing O for a job well done on this one!  I loved the bright red apples and already had a kit in mind with beautiful red elements.  I love using Anna's templates, so I found the one I wanted to use, combined some of the stains and transfers to use as the photo mask and worked from there.  I like having a solid border around my page.  This time I let some of the transfers hide the border on the right and let the rest of the template run completely to the bottom of the page.

Done for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #7 found here:  https://oscraps.com/community/threads/september-2023-challenge-7-tic-tac-toe.38250/

Journaling reads:

Take the fruit I give you, says the bending tree;

Nothing but a burden is it all to me.

Lighten ye my branches, let them toss in air.

Only leave me freedom, next year's load to bear.

The Storms Will Happen

When I saw Wendy's kit I knew I had to use it to scrap one of my cloud pictures.  I don't use her kits much so it was the perfect opportunity for this challenge!  Once I decided on the kit and the photo, I Googled "storms of life Christian quotes" and was rewarded with several by Charles Spurgeon!

Done for the Quote It Challenge #5 found here:  https://oscraps.com/community/threads/september-challenge-5-quote-it-challenge.38268/

Quote:  If you have little trouble, you will have little faith but if you have great faith, you must expect to have great trouble. - Charles Spurgeon.

Journaling reads:  To be human is to have troubles and trials in life.  Some troubles are harder than others.  But no matter what the trouble is, the Bible tells us that we can do anything if we depend on Christ for strength to get through it.  Probably the hardest thing I have ever had to go through is the death of my husband.  And yet, here I am today still able to be happy and content in the new life the Lord has given to me.  Thank You, LORD!

Credits list:

I used 3 papers from the kit using a blend mode of overlay on the middle one and a blend mode of screen on the top one.
