Natural Beauty
Poem:
The beech is dipped in wine;
The shower is burnished;
On the swinging flower
The latest bee doth sit.
The low sun stares
Through dust of gold.
And o'er the darkened
Heath and wold
The large ghost-
Moth doth flit.
In every orchard
Autumn stands,
With apples in
His golden hands.
–Alexander Smith, Scottish poet (1829–67)
Journaling reads: While
Mark took care of Jen’s animals, I walked up her country lane to take some
pictures of these gorgeous wild flowers I spotted on the way in. Can you see the bee? His yellow body makes him almost invisible to
the eyes. I love God’s design in nature! Nothing in nature is an accident but
purposefully designed! How awesome and
good God is! 9/16/22
