Been Trolling.......

Good Evening!

I hope this finds everyone doing well!

Have you heard of Thomas Dambo, the Danish artist who uses recycled materials to create trolls that he hides in various places around the world? These creatures were brought to my attention when my granddaughter and her aunt and adopted aunt were in Seattle, Washington last year. Unbeknownst to me, there are/were several near where I live in North Carolina.

That being said, the granddaughter, her sister, her aunt (my SIL), my daughter (mother of said granddaughters) and myself went to Asheville, NC to see 12 sibling trolls. We went on the last weekend they were going to be at the NC Arboretum before being transported to California. Totally the wrong weekend to go! But, I'm so glad we did get to see them! The following pages are showcasing the trolls.

Araya decided she wanted to shovel the driveway on this very cold, winter’s day. Momma decided she couldn’t let her 10 year old daughter shovel the long driveway all by herself so they both donned their winter gear and headed outside. 01/25/26

Saturday, January 31, 2026, we woke up to a quite a bit of snow. Mark used the leaf blower to clear a path for Asher and to clear off the driveway somewhat. We still had quite a layer of sleet/ice from the last winter blast the prior weekend. Piper and Asher didn’t really want to go out and Asher even peed on the deck once! It snowed all day: sometimes heavily, sometimes lightly. By bedtime I measured 9” out in the back yard and 11” in the drifts around the carport. And it was cold! Church was canceled for the 2nd week in a row. Bro. Bobby preached from the warmth of his study at home and we listened from the warmth of our living room. The snow measured 11” in the yard and 17” in the drifts! Thank You, Lord, for allowing our power to stay on!
