couldn’t believe this butterfly actually climbed up onto my hand. It is Limenitis arthemis and is a butterfly
species in the tribe Limenitidini of the family Nymphalidae. The Limenitidini
are a tribe of the better known "brush-footed butterflies", as they
are known to perch on hindlegs, whereas the other two forelegs are positioned
curled up. These two forelegs often have brush-like hairs, which is a key
identifier of the Nymphalidae.

Journaling reads: After church we stopped at Subway for
sandwiches then went home to change clothes. We hopped on the bike, stopped at
Dollar General for chips and rode to City Lake for a picnic lunch. A cool but
BEAUTIFUL day!
To help you "see" the photo clearly........we have a Goldwing which
has a very comfortable seat (with arm rests) behind the driver. My
"job" in the passenger seat is to snap pictures of our journey, which
is fine by me as I have no desire to be a driver! I often take a picture over DH's
shoulder of the road ahead. So what you see to the right of the picture is part
of Mark's helmet and the bike and you can barely see the outline of the
windshield in the middle of the picture.
I used one of the elements as a photomask.

got up way earlier than I usually do so I could get my shower and fix Mark and
I some sausage and egg sandwiches before we headed out to watch Jaxon play his
first baseball game of the season on the traveling team.
It was misty with rain and the wind was cold!
I blended 2 different papers together. I kept the elements from the template. I rotated the frame to suit my picture.

My daughter posted these photos on Facebook today of her
only daughter that she waited a long time for. I wanted to surprise her with
this page.
Journaling reads: Araya stands outside in the snow before heading to church and
her mommy takes the opportunity to get some pictures of her girl as she
reflects on the following:
“I can’t get Araya into girly dresses very often any more, so I want to
remember today. Her smile, the chokers she loves and the way her arms are
always lined with bracelets, scrunchies and a watch. Under her hose you’d see
bruised up legs and inside her heart you’d find a feisty and compassionate
girl. Move mountains, my dear girl!”
I began with a WaterColor Template, deleting one of the frames and resizing the
photoblend to better fit the larger photo. I added the color textures in the
background by using bits and pieces of a 6x4 ArtsyKard, an ArtsyTransfer and I
used the transfers, art strokes, stains and color from the Veranda ArtsyLayered
Template. I chose the bluish color from the larger photo to fill the background
layer. I added the "girl" part of the title to the "this"
from the watercolor template.

Journaling reads: Every journey begins with a hop
I recolored the ice in the glass to make it look like water. I reduced the
opacity to the frog and the toadstool and the air bubbles to make them look
like they are in the glass. I duplicated the boat and deleted the portion on
the top copy below the rim of the glass then changed the blending mode of the
bottom copy of the boat to make it look like it is inside the glass. I deleted
some of the sign string to make it look like it was hanging over the boat.

Ingredients for the layout:
1. At least 3 layers (strips) of paper on one edge
of the background paper(s). Torn paper is fine. The strips must cover at least
3/4 of the paper edge.
2. One frame that overlaps the strips in some place.
3. One photo that touches the frame somewhere.
4. word art-1 or more.
5. One cluster on one edge of the frame that must include foliage and 2 flowers
or more.
Anything else you want to add is fine.
TWIST: Add another cluster that contains paper layers, a fastener and
whatever else you like. It must touch the frame and the paper strips in some
place. (clarification: fastener can be anything- staple, stitch, button, brad,
paperclip, tapes, pins, eyelets, bows/ribbon...I think you understand.)

I took a picture of these daffodils at church last Sunday and wanted to use it, so I did a google search for daffodil songs and found this one: The Daffodil Lament, released in 1994, by The Cranberries

There really ought to be a sign upon my heart.
Don't judge her yet, there's an unfinished part.
But I'll be better just according to His plan.
Fashioned by the Master's loving hands.
He's still working on me to make me what I ought to be.
It took Him just a week to make the moon and stars, sun and earth and Jupiter
and Mars.
How loving and patient He must be, cause He's still working on me.
I used one of my own selfies that I changed into a sketch and then blended it
into the background and added one of the faces in the kit on top. That's how I
got the glasses on there. Plus I erased the mouth and nose of the face from the
kit. My own nose and mouth is showing through. I used a paper edge and
duplicated it several times to create the frame, cutting some off of the top
and bottom pieces.
