Family Stories Collection by Vicki Robinson:

Journaling reads:  William and Elizabeth Todd, my maternal great grandparents from the early 1900's.  They were from Mississippi where my mom was born.  I never met them.  I believe William died just after mom was born.  I do not know when Elizabeth died.  And I'm not even sure this information is exactly correct.  Unfortunately, the relatives to ask are no longer living.

October Review

Journaling reads: This was a FULL month of activities for us! We began the month with a trip to South Carolina to see our one-month-old grandson, Kingston Gauge, our 18th grandchild. And that is how I celebrated my 66th birthday on October 8th.

The rest of the month was full of soccer, T-ball, softball, and football games of the grandkids. The Widow's Meetings at Damascus began again this month. We also went to a Bible conference.

This was also the month for things to break down....car problems, air conditioner, motorcycle problems...problems, problems, problems!

 Journaling reads: We rode the bike for the first time in a couple of months. The weather was beautiful and after Mark fixed the clutch, we took her out for about an hour. Felt good to be on it again!

We had such a great time at the Shepherd's 360 Conference. We were there with 4 other couples that we are associated with and fellowship with their churches. Dale and Juanita Wallace, David and Terri Morris, Bobby and Joy Smith, Mark and me, and this year Ken and Diann Hansert were attending from West Virginia. This is a yearly conference that happens in October and starts on Monday afternoon and ends Wednesday afternoon. The dates this year were Oct. 18, 19, 20, 2021.

This Life

Journaling reads:  Attending a football game just so you can watch your granddaughter perform with the color guard during the halftime is just something a grandparent has to do.  And between the soccer, base- ball, football and T-ball games it keeps us busy.  Its part of this life we are living.  October 2021

Golden Moments

Done for the AnnaLift Designer Challenge

I recolored some of the elements.

Journaling reads:  We went to the coast to see our newest grandson, Kingston Gauge, who was born on September 2nd.  We stayed in Gauge’s great grandma’s house in Calabash, NC.  We took the opportunity to go to Sunset Beach while there.  I was anticipating taking photos of the seagulls, but there were very few.  However, I was just as delighted with taking pictures of the nature surrounding the board- walk that went out to the beach.  The pretty butterfly flitting around the delicate yellow daisy- like flowers, Wild Golden Asters, were numerous as were the beautiful Indian Blanket flowers with their deep coral petals with yellow tips.  But the nicest surprise was the bunny we saw eating among the flowers.  He didn’t pay us any mind, apparent- ly used to the passers- by.  It was a golden moment!          10/8/21

I did this for the October Seasonal Challenge #4.  I used a stacked paper with a solid paper.  I added a cluster over a cluster on the stacked papers to make more of a border along the left.  I added an accent behind the photo and a few other elements from the featured page kit.

Journaling reads:  I have never heard or seen the likes of this phenomenon.  My son, Michael, shared this photo of a fogbow over Lake Gunterville in Alabama that he took while on his morning walk.  Per Earth Sky dot org, “Rainbows happen when the air is filled with raindrops.  You always see a rainbow in the direction opposite the sun.  Fogbows are much the same, always opposite the sun, but fogbows are caused by the small droplets inside a fog or cloud rather than larger raindrops.”  10/1/21
