Savor the Little Things
"Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do”. Ecclesiastes 9:7
It was a beautiful day, even if a bit on the chilly side in the shade. Mark’s step son, Michael, was spending the day with him and they were working outside on various projects. They had gone to McDonald’s for breakfast and brought an egg McMuffin back to me. It was a late breakfast, so we were not hungry at lunch time. Finally, around 2:15, we were ready to eat. We packed up the hot dogs, buns, onions, shredded cheese, mustard and ketchup, chips and cookies and our drinks and headed to the woods. Mark got the fire pit blazing and we roasted the hot dogs. YUM! Why is it hot dogs taste so much better after being roasted over a fire? 11/1/25
