Wild Thing
Journaling reads: These mushrooms were in the middle of the yard near a drainpipe area. They were so white! The tallest one looked like a golf ball on a tee to me. Both of them had a wonderful texture. From my Google search, these look like Green-spored parasol mushrooms. They are not edible. The “flakes” on the sides are called gills. The older they get, the flatter they become instead of always looking like a golf ball on a tee. July 2025
Always Wild Outdoor
Journaling reads: We have several bunnies hanging around the house every year frolicking out in the back yard. They are super skittish. I love watching the little ones play! July 2025

Read a Story to Me!
Journaling reads: Jessica loved looking at books with her little brother, Michael. We always had lots of books for the kids to read as they were growing up. And they always came back from the library with an armful!
Wonderful Years
This page was done for the Quote Challenge #7
Journaling reads: Joy and Bobby are more than just our biking friends. Bobby is also our pastor...our spiritual leader. Even more than that, we all know about one another that we are sinners saved by the wonderful grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. That is the best thing friends can share! Thank You, Lord, for our wonderful friends!

It was a beautiful day for a bike ride. It was March when we were last to enjoy a bike ride with Joy and Bobby on a Sunday afternoon. The summer has been so hot or wet when we could have ridden. I’m thankful for the weather cool- ing down finally!
While sitting on the deck of the Tamarac Marina, we enjoyed watching the ducks and activity on the water. The Lakeview Family Restaurant across the street was closed, presumably for the Labor Day weekend holiday.

Embrace Change
Journaling reads: Jessica had to make a trip to S.Carolina associated with her job. I was thrilled when she contacted me about stopping and spending the night with us on her way down. It was a beautiful day. After she brought her stuff in I suggested we take a walk in the woods to get her blood flowing again to her body after sitting for 6 hours! It was a good walk, even if only .6 miles! She’s not my little girl anymore, but I’m loving the wonderful, godly woman she has become! 9/1/25

Life Change
Journaling reads: I’m not sure what I did to accidentally capture this picture, but rather than trash it, I decided to use it. For some reason it made me think of the changes that have happened in my life during my years in NC: new church family, new grands, widowhood, new love, new life, new joys... change is not all bad. 8/31/25
