Thanksgiving at Jessica’s 2024
Mark took Wednesday, Nov. 27th off from work so we could travel to spend Thanksgiving weekend with Jessica and Terry. Every other year we go to Jessica’s for Thanksgiving. She has the meal on Friday and invites the family. The “family” has grown to include girlfriends but no boyfriends...yet! The gathering is the Day side of the family and friends of the family come, too. The man who started it all is barely able to come because it is hard for him to walk, but Shane saw to it that he and Reba got there. Grandpa Day will be 93 come July 2025. I think Reba was 88 on her birthday, but I’m not even sure when that is. I would love for Tim to see how his grandkids have grown to become young men and women. Most of them have made professions of faith and his children are all in church serving the Lord. He would be very blessed, indeed!
Mark and I stayed with Jessica and Terry through the weekend and attended church with them on Sunday, Dec. 1st. We left their house around 6 p.m. so we could miss a lot of traffic on the trip home. We stopped at Wendy’s in Ripley, WV at 7:49 and were back on the road at 8:13. We arrived home around 12 a.m. Mark took Monday, Dec. 2nd off to rest from our trip. We had a great weekend with family and friends!
