October at OScraps

I cannot believe it is October already!  BUT, it is one of my favorite months because of the arrival of Fall!  I love the colors of Fall!

And, with the arrival of October, there are new challenges at OScraps!  You can find them HERE.

I am hosting the OScraps Collaboration Challenge #2.  You can see my example layout below.  Hope to see you in the Forum and Gallery this month!

Savor the Last Days, Change is Coming

Done for the Double Scraplift Challenge #1 found here:  https://oscraps.com/community/threads/october-challenge-1-double-scraplift.38428/

Journaling reads:  I love seeing the hummingbirds at my feeder.  I am usually making a new batch of nectar every other day through the summer days.  And then, just like that … summer is over and they are gone.

I used Spa Day by sucali

I was inspired by the split background.  I layered the plain paper over the “patterned” paper to divide the page.  I added the cloud transfer at the top to overlap the top paper.  I added the charm and stitched flower to indicate the page division.

I used Autumn Day by jirsev

I was inspired by the photos in opposing corners.  I used the opposite corners to draw the eye from top left to bottom right.

It’s Fall Y’All!

Done for the Collab Challenge #2 found here:  https://oscraps.com/community/threads/october-challenge-2-collaborations.38377/

Quote reads (I changed original words from a rose garden to sunflowers):

A bee that was searching for sweets one day

Through the gate to sunflowers happened to stray.

In the heart of a sunflower he hid away,

And forgot in his bliss the light of day.

–Paul Laurence Dunbar (1872–1906)
