Journaling reads:  I enjoyed the day with my daughter and her daughter.  We went to the $1 bin sale in Greensboro.  On the way home we stopped at Culver’s to eat.  Thanks to Elisabeth for the lunch treat!  After we got back to my house we played a game of Qwirkle and Rummikub before they had to mosey on home!  Thanks for the fun day, girls!  Love spending time with you!  6/21/23

June Review - Left

Journaling reads:  Kim has come up to NC for vacation the last several years and spends the week with me.  She usually arrives the Thur. or Fri. before the Memorial Day weekend at the end of May and stays until the following Friday, the first part of June.  The kids and grandkids enjoy seeing their Aunt/Great Aunt, which is why we start- ed having a family reunion on Memorial Day weekend.  You can never spend too much time with family!

On Thursday, June 1st, before Kim left on Friday, we went over to Elisabeth’s and went to Arby’s for lunch, which we brought back to the house.  After lunch we played games.  Before Kim and I left, we moved to the porch to enjoy the weather and some chit chat.

On Saturday, June 3rd, Mark took me to DQ and then we went to Jen’s to see the newborn goats.  We got caught in the downpour and hail before we got home!  OUCH!

On Wednesday, June 7th, Liz invited me to go to the bin store in Greensboro.  We ate at Jason’s Deli  before coming home.  GREAT food, if a little pricey!

Picture Journaling, top to bottom:

After lunch, we played Qwirkle and Rummikub.  Abby won’t play Qwirkle because it takes too long.  But she likes Rummikub.  6/1/23

Colonoscopy scheduled for Monday, June 5th.  Prep began Sunday afternoon.

One last picture before Kim heads back to FL.  It was a good visit!  Friday, 6/2/23

On Saturday, June 10th, we rode to Lakeview Family Restaurant on High Rock Lake in Salisbury.  Great ride on a beautiful day!

Right

Journaling reads:  After spending the day with Ilene, her cousin, Jo, and Carolyn, on Friday, June 17th, Mark wanted to take a bike ride.  So we rode to Reidsville and ate at Monterrey Mexican Restaurant with Mark’s Aunt Libby and her son Lee.  Then we stopped in Kernersville at DQ for some ice cream before we got home.

Tuesday, June 20th, I had a dentist appointment to re-do a root canal and fixed my front chipped tooth.  My mouth was very tender when we went to Ruby Tuesday for supper.  Mark left work at 3:00 and we left after his shower.

On Thursday, June 22nd, Elisabeth and Hannah picked me up and we went to the bin store and ate lunch at Culver’s in Kernersville before coming on home to play some games before they went home.  That evening, Mark was in the mood to play some games.  So after dinner and devotions we played some card games:  Kings in the Corner and Sequence.

On Saturday, June 24th, Mark was cutting grass when he saw this zebra swallowtail flitting around in the back yard by the woods.  How beautiful!

Bluebird

Journaling reads:

Then flash the wings returning Summer calls

Through the deep arches of her forest halls,

The bluebird, breathing from his azure plumes

The fragrance borrowed where the myrtle blooms.

Journaling reads:  Mark had worked outside all day.  He asked if I was in the mood for a bike ride.  Of course!  He called to see if his aunt in Reidsville was home for a visit and supper out.  Martha wasn’t home but Libby was so we met her and Lee for supper at Monterrey Mexican.  We headed home and stopped for ice cream at DQ as we went through Kernersville.  6/17/23
