A New Adventure for 2012 and a FREE Template

A designer friend of mine, who retired from designing, pointed me to this blog, 365 Less Things.  This is a decluttering challenge with the idea of getting rid of one item per day through the year.  So, I've decided to take the challenge as my 365 project for 2012!  And I thought I would share with you what I've done so far.  This is only my 2nd day, but I think I've made up for the first 5 days that I missed, since the object is to do ONE item a day so as not to get overwhelmed with the project.  These items were in the same general area, so it was not overwhelming to get rid of more than one item at a time!

I used my "A Fresh Start" kit and bits and pieces from the add-on and sampler.  The kit is 20% off through January and the sampler is free and the add-on can be had for free through January, too (see store for details).

So, what do you think?  Are you interested in taking the challenge with me?  The layouts are linked to my gallery at Digitals if you would like to leave me some luv!  Thanks in advance!

FREE TEMPLATE

I was in the mood to make a template out of my first page shown here, so I thought I would whip it up and include it in this post.  It will be available for approximately a week, maybe more maybe less.  It depends on when I remember to unlink it, LOL!

In the download, you will find the PNG files, the JPG file and the PSD file.  Hope you enjoy it!  Click on the preview for the direct download.

Thanks for stopping by Today!  Scrap those memories before they fade away!

Another Template Freebie

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for visiting my blog this month during my 35th wedding anniversary celebration!  I hope you have had as much fun as I have had!  Life passes by so quickly, doesn't it?  It is hard to believe, also, that our oldest of four children is 31 this year!  When I think about being married for 35 years, I don't really feel so old.  But, when I say I have a child that is 31 years old..............THEN I feel old, LOL!  She is actually almost 31 1/2!  And her brother next to her will turn 30 in June!  WOW!  That's even worse!  2 kids 30+ years old!  YIKES!

My shop is still on sale for 35% off today.  And I hope you also took advantage of the extra 10% coupon from yesterday.  I know some of you did and I appreciate your support!

I was wondering what I would give to you today since I've given you all the word art I've made, LOL!  But then someone suggested that one of the layouts made by one of my CT members shown in the slide show above would make a great template.  So, at her request, that is what I've done!  I'll show you the layout she referred to and then below that will be the download link on the preview of the template.  All of the templates that I make will also include the PNG files for those of you who need those and cannot use the PSD file.  There is also a smaller JPG version, too.  So, with that being said, here's the CT layout.  Leslie used my "Love, the Greatest of These" kit.  You can click on the layout to get the kit for $2.00 TODAY only!  It normally sells for $5.99!

And, here's the template.  Click on it for the download.  ENJOY!  AND, thanks for stopping by Today!

Day 5 FREEbie Template - INCLUDING PNG files for ALL Templates!

It was brought to my attention that not everyone can use .PSD files in their scrapbooking programs.  Creative Memories was one that was mentioned.  It was also mentioned that .PNG files could be used, so I decided to put together the .PNG files for each of the templates I have given away this week.  Each layer of the templates are separated into their own files.  Those links, for those of you who want/need them, are below today's template preview.  I'd like to hear any comments about the .PNG files that you, the user, might have!

ENJOY and thanks for stopping by Today!

Photo Template/Frame Freebie for You!

Here is something I came up with while I was messing around and trying to make some frilly frames. You could use these templates for several things: photos, journaling, patterns. You could re-color them, bevel them, use them as overlays. You could add a frame around the outside of them, too. The sizes shown are the sizes of the whole image, including the frills. I show a couple of examples of "grouping" a picture to the template. I also have instructions for grouping with Photo Shop Elements 6 that are included in the TOUs. But, if you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me by leaving a comment here. I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with in using these templates! Have fun!

Photo Word Template FREEBIE!

OK, here is a freebie template for your personal use only! The first image is what the png file looks like and the second image is what it looks like filled with a picture. You can fill it with whatever you want. You could fill it with a paper and then lay a picture on top of that. What I did in Photoshop Elements with the example shown below the template was to open the template file and open a picture file. I placed the picture layer on top of the template layer and then group the picture to the template.

Have fun! I'd love to see how you use the template! Post a comment with the link to your layout if you use the template! That would be great and very much appreciated!
